Large pipe clamp better known as a pipe elevator. It is in the shape of a triangle with a slot in the bottom where the pipe slips into and is held by the pipe collar and a latch flips down to secure it, so that it doesn't fall out when it is hoisted and lowered into the well. |

This clamp was used in the Oil Springs' oil fields. The clamp is used to hoist pipe out of the well and lower it in with a pulling machine when the well is serviced. |
