Description |
Large, horse head bust. The bust is comprised of plaster, finished with a coat of copper paint. The base of the bust is round and features the words "Eisenbach Museum" embossed around the edges along with four holes to mount the sculpture on top of a post. There are two small metal rings protruding from either side of the horses mouth connected to a large metal ring that hangs freely. |
Provenance |
This horse head bust came from the Eisenbach Museum in Grand Bend. It was displayed on top of a white wooden post outside the front entrance to the Museum. A photograph of the main building is featured in a brochure for the Museum which showcases the decorative bust. Before this item was donated to the Lambton Heritage Museum, the bust was in the possession of the donor's father, Lyman Gratton, for many years. |
