Provenance |
Acquired by International Driller, Charles Wallen. On May 8,1902 Mount Pelee erupted with a roar and wiped out the whole population of 28,000 people of St. Pierre with just one survivor, a prisoner in an underground dungeon. After four days he was discovered by two men walking through the ruins. |
