Description |
A cast iron boot jack. It is shaped into curves and comes to a narrow point. It has a V shaped boot jack section, and a small hole at narrow end for hanging up. |
Provenance |
Boot jacks were used to help pull off boots from the foot; the back of the booted foot was placed into the V part of the device, and the other foot stepped onto the opposite end. This made for extra grip and leverage for pulling off hard to remove boots. |
