Description |
Commemorative medal that features a rectangular brass plate at the top with a closing pin on the back. The plate is attached to a blue and white ribbon which tapers into a V-shape and includes a metal loop that has been sewn into the fabric in order to hang the gold medal. The medal is adorned with the Sarnia Coat of Arms along with the words "Old Home Week 1925 (July) in Sarnia, Ont. Canada". |

This item is from the Lawrence family collection. The Lawrence family were the original owners of the Lawrence Lumber Co. located in Sarnia, Ontario. Edward Carroll Lawrence was son of William F. Lawrence, who married Ada Hanes in 1902. Edward was raised in the Lawrence House, built 1892, on Christina Street in Sarnia, Ontario. |
