Description |
An oval can of Supertest utility oil. The can is 4 fluid oz and gold. The Supertest logo is near the top of the can and it says "Utility Oil" in white letter under the logo. Near the bottom of the can in black lettering it says "Lubricates, cleans, prevents rust and tarnish. Canada's Finest." There is a white plastic spout which sticks directly out of the top of the can. On the back in French and English is the directions and the Supertest logo. |

From the collection of Art Henley, who owned a Supertest gas station. SuperTest Petroleum was an oil and gas company in Canada that operated from 1923 to 1973. Its head office was in London, Ontario and was acquired by BP Canada in 1971. In 1982 BP's downstream assets were sold to Petro-Canada. In 1923, SuperTest opened its first gasoline station in London, Ontario. The new company was not a refiner and sourced its gasoline and oil from Imperial Oil Ltd. By 1936, SuperTest owned and operated 342 stations with over 800 dealers in Ontario and Quebec |
