Description |
A collection of 19 butterflies in a wood frame. There is a row of five butterflies down the centre, and the others are in a scattered arrangement on either side. Seven of the butterflies are blue. Four butterflies, two on each of the lower sides are black and green. They were caught and collected by international driller John and his wife, Vola Braybrook while on contract in El Centro, Colombia in 1935. The wood frame has a carved two-step front painted gold on the inside and green and gold on the outer edge. |
