Description |
Handheld, double sided flag commemorating the passing of an Oddfellow member. The flag has a wooden stick that serves as a handle, one end is tapered while the other has a slit which holds the flag. The flag is black and white with the image printed vertically on the front. The top of the flag reads "In memoriam" followed by three circles with the initials "F.L.T" printed inside. The center of the flag has a depiction of the all seeing eye with lines radiating from the center towards the border. The bottom of the flag reads "I.O.O.F Honor the Dead". |

This item was used by members of the International Order of Oddfellows during ceremonial events. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows is a Global Fraternal Organization with roots going back to 1730 London, England. The letters "F.L.T" stands for friendship, love and truth which are the basic guides to live by as an Odd Fellow. The Odd Fellows Hall was located on 4230 Petrolia Line in Petrolia which is the present day location of Grandis Jewelers. |
