Description |
Brass cornet. The cornet resembles the shape of a trumpet and features one horizontal valve in the center, framed by three oval shaped tubes that form the body of the instrument. The cornet also includes a spit valve, a curved finger hook on top and a small ring below the mouthpiece most likely used to attach a ribbon or tassel. There is a detailed engraving around the bell of the cornet that features elaborate scrollwork and the Maker's Mark. |
