Description |
Three identical glass beakers, containing hydrometers, are secured to a wood mount. The centre beaker is filled with oil and the beakers on either side are not filled. |

William Spencer, one of the founders of Imperial Oil used the hydrometers in the early days for taking the specific gravity of various liquids that were used in the treating of oil products. |
