Description |
This is a one quart glass oil bottle with a metal spout and a cork gasket cap. The side of the glass bottle is embossed with the "McColl Frontenac" logo, which is an Indigenous person wearing a headdress, and "Oil Co. Limited-S.A.E. 20". |
Provenance |
The donor was born and raised in Oil Springs. He had a large collection of gas station memorabilia of which he donated a part to the Oil Museum of Canada. The McColl brothers from Oil Springs and Petrolia area started the company that later became McColl Frontenac. In 1959, it was renamed Texaco. |
