According to the donor, this item was made at Thom's Implement Works in Watford by his father, Robert Watson. Robert Watson was an employee at Thom's Implement Works. Household goods like this bootjack were not regular production items in an implement factory. The bootjack is a "whimsy", created as a limited edition item for the workman's personal use. |
