Description |
A rectangular can of Supertest barbecue lighter fluid. The can is gold, white, and blue. The Supertest logo is surrounded by a blue boarder that connects to a rectangle section that says "Barbecue Lighter." Under the logo in black lettering it says "Will not affect food flavour" and "Canada's Finest." On the side of the can is the warning label, directions, and list of approved products that can be used with this fuel source. There is a screw cap located on the top of the can on the left side. |

From the collection of Art Henley, who owned a Supertest gas station. SuperTest Petroleum was an oil and gas company in Canada that operated from 1923 to 1973. Its head office was in London, Ontario and was acquired by BP Canada in 1971. In 1982 BP's downstream assets were sold to Petro-Canada. In 1923, SuperTest opened its first gasoline station in London, Ontario. The new company was not a refiner and sourced its gasoline and oil from Imperial Oil Ltd. |
