Description |
Olive green khaki jacket with built-in padding. The jacket has five plastic buttons down the front along with a large pocket at each hip. On the back of the jacket, the material is cinched at the waist. There are several areas on the jacket that feature an exposed patch of light brown leather padding. On the right hand sleeve, there are sections, one of the pads wraps around the top and underside of the bicep while the other is located at the elbow. On the left hand sleeve, there is a large patch on the elbow and a second one on the left breast. There is a small pocket located on the right breast along with a round yellow button with an inscription around the edge that reads "Southwestern Ontario Sporting Rifle Association" and the name "Marie Barnes" written in the center. The jacket is adorned with a collection of patches that have been hand-stitched in place. An oval patch that reads "Wyoming Rifle Club" has been added below the pocket on the right breast. Another round blue patch that reads "Dominion Marksmen Member" with the associated logo in the center has been added below the left breast. On the back of the left sleeve, near the shoulder, there is a white circular patch that reads "Expert Shield Winner" in red letters along with the Dominion Marksmen logo in the center. On the back of the jacket, there is a patch of brown leather with an inscription that reads "Inter Club Shoot. Wyoming Stratford London. High Score Target Rifle. April 15th, 1945" written in gold. On the right hand side, there is a white patch with the initials "C.S.B.A" written in blue along with an illustration of a rifle in the center. On the left hand side, there is a diamond shaped patch that reads "Wyoming Rifle Club. Canadian Ladies Team Champions. 1943" in red and green letters against a yellow background. Two smaller patches with the years "1944" and "1946" located below. In the middle of the jacket, there is a large colourful patch in the shape of a Maple Leaf that reads "Canadian Small Bore Assoc." and features two criss-crossed rifles and a depiction of a small beaver. Below, a rectangular patch has been added that reads "C.S.B.A. 1944. Indoor Grand Aggregate" in blue and red letters against a white background. Near the bottom right hand side of the jacket, there is a white patch shaped like a shield that reads "Wyoming Rifle Club. Individual Lady Champion. Canada. 1943" written in blue and red letters which also includes a depiction of a rifle in the center. There are three small patches directly underneath with the years "1944", "1945" and "1946". On the opposite side, there is a round patch that reads "Wyoming Rifle Club. Team Champions. Canada. 1943" written in red and green letters against a white background. A small patch with the year "1944" has been added underneath. |
