Provenance |
George Parker and Stan Allen gathered together in 1937 to form a young men's club associated with but not limited to members of the Central United Church participating in inter-church sports. The Club was given it's name by Joe Bell, who later perished during the war along with 20 other members. After the war, the club reached its glory years attaining a membership exceeding 100 in the '47/'48 era. The members still participated in sports playing softball, basketball, hocket and on occasion, football. Eventually the Club transitioned from playing sports to sponsoring them and at one time were the largest single sponsor of teams in the Sarnia Minor Athletic Association. |
