Description |
Horizontal, purple and yellow felt pennant commemorating the 1970-71 W.O.S.S.S.A. Senior Soccer Championship Tournament. The pennant has two purple felt ties that have been attached to the edge. Along the vertical edge, there is a yellow felt trim and the initials "W.O.S.S.S.A." have been written vertically against a purple background. The middle of the pennant reads "Senior Tournament" in horizontal yellow letters. At the far end of the pennant, the year "1970-71" is featured. |

The Sarnia Collegiate Institute & Technical School (S.C.I.T.S.), has a rich history stretching back to 1922. In 2016, S.C.I.T.S. was consolidated with St. Clair Secondary School (S.C.S.S.) to form the Great Lakes Secondary School. During this time, a committee was established to review the artifacts and memorabilia at the old school building. Some items were sent to the new Great Lakes Secondary School, while others were distributed to the Lambton County Archives and Lambton Heritage Museum. This item was part of a large donation containing over 150 items. |
