Description |
Fishing spear with a reed for a handle and a metal arrowhead. The tip has a barb on one side of the point and a small barb on the other side just above where it meets the handle. A string is wound around the handle where it meets the arrowhead and 25.5 cm above. |

The donor accompanied her husband, International Driller, Lester MacGillivray, to South America, where this item was obtained as a memento. It was used by the British Guiana and Amazon tributary tribes in South America. |
