Description |
Yellow and white signature quilt. The white blocks have been positioned into a diamond shape and adorned with an embroidered blue stem stitch to create a flower. White setting triangles have also been added to the edges of the quilt, each triangle includes half of a flower. There are signatures embroidered in yellow in each flower petal which includes ten per square, four per triangle, and two on each corner. Yellow diagonal sashing and borders separate the flowers from one another. The backing of the entire quilt is comprised of white cotton with a white binding. |

This signature quilt made by the Zion United Church in Warwick Township during the 1930s. There quilt includes 15 squares adorned with 150 signatures, 10 triangles adorned with 40 signatures, and 4 corners with 8 signatures. The quilt features a total of 198 signatures. The quilt was won by Edith Galt. |
