Description |
1931 Hawkeye flatbed truck model with a 1919 Waterloo Boy tractor model loaded on the back of the truck. Part a: The Hawkeye flatbed truck is blue with a sticker on the doors that says "Murphy Implement." The tires are white with blue rims and the front grill is silver. The interior is black and contains a bench seat and steering wheel. The flatbed is black and has a wood texture design. Part b: The Waterloo Boy tractor is green with yellow tires and a red engine. There is a sticker on the side of the tractor that says "Waterloo Boy." On the front cylindrical fuel container is a sticker that says "Kerosene." There is also a logo sticker that says "Gasoline Engine., Waterloo, Iowa. Kerosene Tractors." The oval logo also features the Waterloo Boy wearing a straw hat and smiling. Part c: The box has been opened and no longer has the plastic covering. It is striped white, black, yellow, and beige. The back of the box says: "Iowa-based Ertl Company proudly presents this toy set commemorating a part of Iowa History. The Hawkeye Truck Company built 1- to 3 1/2 - ton trucks in Sioux City from 1916 until it became a causality of the Great Depression in 1933. This 1931 Hawkeye truck is carrying another Iowa product, a Waterloo Boy tractor produced in Waterloo between 1915 and 1924." |
