On the bottom of the wagon is written: Made in Nov 1982 by Edwin Zavitz in his 87th year. |
Provenance |
The model was given to the donor on his retirement. He was a services technician at Union Gas in London, Ontario for 32 years. Started February 1969 and retired in 1999. Made by a former Union Gas retiree, Edwin (Ted) Zavitz, in November 1982. Ted built them for different Union Gas events to remember some of their history. City Gas Co. was a gas company that supplied natural gas to the city of London, Ontario and which was bought by the Union Gas Company. The badge is believed to be from the early 20's. |
