Description |
Print of three coloured engravings, stacked vertically, each showing ships around Sarnia. The top image, titled "Sarnia", shows the waterfront near downtown. A paddle steamer, steam ship, and sailing ship are floating on the St. Clair River. Behind them, buildings are visible including several churches, town hall, and an elevator. The middle image, titled "Point Edward - Mouth of St. Clair River" shows a shadowed wharf or dock on the right side with a canoe, steam ship, and several sailing ships in the river. The Fort Gratiot lighthouse is visible in the back left. Image is signed "FB Schell" in the lower left. The bottom image, titled "Shipping on Lake Huron" has a paddle steamer on the left and a sailing ship on the right. Smaller boats visible in the back distance. Print mounted behind a green mat board, and encased in plastic wrap. |
