Description |
Wooden tennis racket. The racket features a knob at the end of the handle with a prominent groove through the middle that resembles the shape of a fish tail. The knob tapers towards a narrow handle adorned with a long indentation through the middle. The handle flares outwards to create an oval shaped frame. There is a handcarved inscription that reads "J.D.H" located on the side of the handle. The letters are created using a stippling pattern. The base of the frame is adorned with a dark brown triangle shape inset into the wood which is bordered by two bands comprised of light red string wrapped around the frame. The racket is comprised of a series of strings that connect each side to create a checkered pattern. The vertical strings are white while the horizontal strings are red. There are two small sections at the top and bottom of the racket that are woven with black string. The wood used to create the handle remains unfinished while the framework for the racket has a glossy finish. |
