Description |
A small wood keg used for holding gun powder. It is a medium brown wood closed end barrel with slightly tapered sides and a plug in one end. It is constructed with 13 staves held by 5 wood rings on each end. GUN POWDER is stencilled in black on the side of the keg between the wood rings. The label is missing that would have identified it to be from the Hamilton Powder Works, but a round lighter area is noticeable where the paper label would have been. |
