Description |
One pint glass oil bottle with a metal spout and cork gasket. The side of the glass bottle is embossed with "McColl Frontenac Oil Co. Limited" and has a picture of an Indigenous person wearing a head dress, this was the company's logo. The spout of the bottle is embossed with "EDC Service Station Equip Co. Ltd. Toronto, Canada." |
Provenance |
The donor was born and raised in Oil Springs. He had a large collection of gas station memorabilia of which he donated a part to the Oil Museum of Canada. The McColl brothers from Oil Springs and Petrolia area started the company that later became McColl Frontenac. In 1959, it was renamed Texaco. |
