Description |
Painted black steel triangle with a 5 cm open ended slot on the bottom forming a "U" shape. There is a square hole on the open end of the "U". The top part is a round bar while the bottom part is thicker square steel. |

This tool was blacksmithed locally and used to hoist and lower pipe out and into the well. The collar on the pipe would rest in the slot, then it could be lifted by the drilling rig or servicing apparatus. |
