Description |
Metal weather vane painted green. The top of the weather vane (a) features a metal cut out depicting a galloping horse. On the back of the horse, there is a large metal tube secured in place using two wires. The base consists of a metal rod that inserts into the tube and includes four metal legs with screw holes on each foot to provide additional support. |

This item was originally used on a farm located on Bog Line. Weather vanes were an important tool for farmers. They allowed the farmer to gather information about prevailing winds in order to know how to plant their crops. The farmers were also able to predict changes in the weather by understanding weather patterns. |
