Description |
Known as the "Lesser Black Bird-Eating Spider". Tarantula caught in the tropical Oil fields of or near El Centro, Columbia, South America in 1936. The spider has 8 long legs with two short ones which are used to inject its venom. The spider is mounted on a match box with a pin through its abdomen inside an octagonal shadow box made of wood and fronted with glass. |
