Description |
Bowl is black and has several chips out of the lip of the bowl. Originates between 900 to 1492. Plain creamware bowl used for domestic purposes. Mottled black colour was produced by covering the piece during the firing process, allowing the vessel to absorb the smoke. Made by the Indigenous peoples of Peru. Mould-made ceramics which have been stained black are typical of the Chimu culture. |
