Description |
Emu egg in a woven basket. a). The egg has a mottled dark brown exterior with a small hole in the end where the yolk was blown out. (b). The basket is oval with low sides and a loop handle on each end. It is woven with grass that is gathered in small bunches at the centre creating a design similar to wheat sheaves. c). The second basket is identical to b). Originally there were two eggs, each in its own basket. The second egg was described as broken. At this time only one egg has been found. |
