Description |
Long, ivory satin and lace wedding dress in an a-line style. The dress has long sleeves that includes lace at the shoulders and points at the wrist along with two buttons. The neckline is high with a lace collar and a pearl cluster pin worn at the neck. There is an opening at the waist and back that has been covered with buttons. At the waist, there is a fabric belt with a covered buckle and braided belt loops at the sides. |

This wedding dress belonged to Helen Dorothy Brock who wore this dress on her wedding day on April 14th, 1937 to James Robert Lackie. The Best Man at the wedding was Stan Brock, Helen's brother. The Maid of Honor was Ruth Lackie. The couple lived in Enniskillen and operated a store in Petrolia before moving to Sarnia. |
