There is a rifle in a holder attached to the horse. It is titled, Bonito, an Apache Scout, Ft. Apache, Arizona. Addressed to Miss Ellen Sanson, 83 Dougall Ave. Windsor, Ont. (Petrolia address has been stroked out) Message: Amherstburg, Oct. 27th. Dear E - The scout on the other side is typical of the way I have been trying to get track of you. I have been wanting to write you at W. but could not get your address and to think you were within three short blocks of us last Sat. So I am trying to get you at Petrolia.
