Description |
This is a coloured photograph of Catlins Farm or Robert O. Cochrane's farm stead. The image only takes up the bottom half of the paper. On the left side of the image, there are two red, wooden barns with green, metallic roofs. The closest barn has its side facing the camera, two rose quilt patterns on the side of it with white lettering in between them. The bottom of the barn has a cement foundation with a pile of dirt beside it. The second barn is behind the first. On the right side of the image, two yellow brick building with teal coloured roofs can be seen. The closest is a house with multiple stories, a white extension out the back, and a covered front porch. The other yellow brick building is behind the house, a smaller, almost shed like building behind some trees. there are barren and evergreen trees dotted around the property along with white fencing and open fields. The back of the photograph has information about the picture, stating that it is "Catlins Farm" with the paragraph "Robert O. Cochrane's farm stead. The brick in the house, barn, and carriage house were made by Walter Oliver who built the buildings before the 1870's." all in blue pen. The photograph is glossy. |
