James is on the right side of the image, turning his head to look at Madeline. He is in a dark suit, a white collared shirt, and a dark tie, thin rimmed glasses on his face. Madeline is on the left side of the image, looking down and slightly to the right. She is in a dark dress with a bow pined to her shoulder, hanging earrings, and thin rimmed glasses. The table in front of them has plates, tea cups, decorative napkins, and water glasses on it. An old, metal microphone is seen in the background, in front of a curtain. The photograph is glossy.
