The Central School located at 2614 Frederick Street, Oil Springs was built in 1904. Later it was called the Continuation School with grades one through eight downstairs and nine through twelve upstairs. High school was discontunied in 1945 and high school students were bussed to Petrolia. The school then became an all public school, grades one through eight until it closed in 1968, when Lambton Central Centennial School was built on Oil Heritage Line north of Rokeby Line. |
