Colourized postcard from the Bookery Series showing the act of torpedoing an oil well in Petrolia, Ontario. The photo shows oil shooting out of an oil well, with derricks and a wagon in the scene and buildings in the background. There is a one cent postage stamp on the back with a cancellation stamp beside it from Petrolia Ont., PM Feb 28 1908. It is addressed to Miss Reta Haney, Sarnia Ont. Message: Will be with you today, Mae. |
