Black and white photograph on a black cabinet card with white flowers around the edge. The round portrait photograph of James M. Young was taken when he graduated at the Ontario Veterinary College. He is wearing a dark suite and tie with a white stiff collar shirt. His short dark hair is parted off centre. |
Provenance |
James Young was born in Plympton Township, Lambton County in 1877. He graduated at the Ontario Veterinary College in 1899. He practiced at Oil Springs, Petrolia and Brigden, Ontario. He joined the civil service in Ottawa in 1903 and was appointed federal inspector for the Health of Animals Department and went West in 1909. He returned to Ontario when the depression began and practiced in Belmont. |
