Description |
This is a greyscale photograph of Joseph Tailor, Sarnia's Mayor in 1914 when Sarnia was made a city. Joseph is standing in the entrance way of an old storefront, an open doorway behind him and a large window to the right of him. Joseph is in a formal vest, a white, tall collared shirt, a dark tie, and a waist apron. He also has a rimmed hat on, a thick mustache, and a measuring tape around his neck. He is standing with one shoulder leaning against a wall and a one hand on his hip. The window next to him has different signs visible, two with different suit designs and one that reads "Joe Dagan, Fashionable Tailor". The image is on a light coloured cardstock with the photographer's signature below the image and "Sarnia, Ont." in the bottom right corner. |
