Friday night's President's Ball at Sarnia Golf and Curling Club was a best bib and tucker affair by invitation only. Even so, more than 75 couples attended the $10 Centennial year event and among those present were, from left; Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Punnett, John Wing, president and Mrs. Wing. Mr. and Mrs. John Cowan and Bert Watson, vice-president and Mrs. Watson From left, Mrs. F. E. Punnett is wearing a one-sleeve, floor-length dress, and she is wearing elbow length-gloves and she is wearing a pair of kitten heels. Her hair is styled in a bouffant and piled on top of her head. She is seated with her legs crossed. Next to her is Mrs. Wing, she is wearing a sleeveless dress that is belted around the waist. She has a corsage pinned to her shoulder. Mr. F. E. Punnett, is seated behind them. He is wearing black suit, with a white shirt and a bow tie. He is partially obstructed from view by the two women. Next to Mrs. Wing is Mr. John Wing, he is wearing a suit and tie, with a bow tie. There is a corsage pinned to his lapel. He has his one hand on his knee and his other hand is obstructed from view. He is wearing dark framed glasses and his hair is styled in a comb-over. Next to him is Mrs. John Cowan, she is wearing a sleeveless dress, that has a floral pattern on it. She has her hands folded on her lap, and she is wearing a pair of elbow-length gloves. There is a corsage pinned to her dress. She has short hair, and it is curled. She is looking off to the right. Mr. John Cowan, is seated next to her and he is wearing a suit and tie, he has his hands folded in front him. He has a corsage pinned to his lapel, and he has a pocket-square in his breast pocket. Next to him is Mrs. Watson, she is wearing a sleeveless dress that has a corsage pinned on her dress, on the wrong side. She has short hair. Her hands are folded on her lap and she is wearing gloves. Next to her is Bert Watson who is wearing a suit and bowtie. He is wearing a pair of dark frame glasses. He has a corsage pinned to his lapel, and there is a pocket square in his breast pocket. His hands are clasped on her lap, and he is wearing a watch on his wrist. On the left side of the image, there is a shelf that is full of trophies. While the wall on the right is brick, there is a large painting on the wall that features a cabin in the woods. There is also a table in front of the group, that has a square pattern. |
