Sepia photograph on a cabinet card of a commercial business; Anderson and Murray Machine Shop and Foundry. The light coloured, one story, brick building with a flat roof is located at a dirt cross road in the village of Oil Springs. Sign above the corner door reads, "Anderson and Murray" and on door, "Office". Painted on the left side of the building in big dark letters, "Oil Well Supplies" and right side of building "Machine Shop and Foundry" further along on a brick addition is "Blacksmith". 13 people are posed standing facing the photographer (who's at a height). Seated on the boardwalk is a boy, in the group behind him there is a dog and a man standing with a bicycle. There are two steam engines. The first one is driven by Bill Roberts while the other one is pulled by a team of two horses with a man seated on the tank. They are all wearing hats and work clothes. Behind the building are numerous three-pole derricks. Stamped on the back: From Louis Pesha's Art Studio, Oil Springs, Ont. All negatives retained. Duplicate orders promptly attended to.
