Description |
Black and white photograph of the opening ceremonies of the Oil Museum of Canada on July 1, 1960. A stage is set up to the east of the front entrance of the museum and there is a speaker addressing the crowd, and other people are sitting on chairs behind him on the stage. A crowd is beyond the stage. There is a derrick on the left side and the corner of the museum on the right side in the background. The speaker is Fred Cass, Ontario minister of highways. Sitting on the chairs behind him on the stage are: Left to right- the Governor's aide, Keiller MacKay, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Mrs. MacKay, Mrs. W.S. Atkin, unidentified woman, C.E. Zeb Janes and an unidentified man. |
