This photo was taken before Lieutenant Egan's departure for the First World War. All are looking at the camera in this full body photo, and while the three on the left are wearing winter clothes, Lieutenant Egan is wearing a uniform. They are standing on the sidewalk in front of the front steps of the Egan home in Petrolia. It is winter. In an associated note, the photo is dated circa 1916.
