Description |
This is a greyscale photograph of George Collier standing in a set for a photography studio, posing. George is standing with his body turned slightly to the right, his head turned back to look at the camera with a neutral expression. His one hand is at his side while the other is holding a coat that is draped over it. He is wearing an open, formal coat over a formal vest, a upturned collared shirt, a small bow-tie, and striped pants. He has a pocketwatch and chain hanging from one of his vest button, a pocket square in his coat breast pocket, and a bowler hat on his head. The background is a brown colour with a painted bush to the right. Below the image, on the cardstock, the words "Tomlinson" and "Detroit" are printed on it. The back of the image has the words "E.H. Housher & Co. Successors to Tomlinson" and "236 Woodward Ave. Detroit, Mich." printed on it. Above that there is a note in pen that reads "George Collier An East Ender of the long ago". |
