Black and white photograph of the opening ceremonies of the Oil Museum of Canada on July 1, 1960. A stage is set up to the east of the front entrance of the museum and there is a speaker addressing the crowd, and other people are sitting on chairs behind him on the stage. A crowd is beyond the stage. There are two derricks in the background. The speaker is Keiller MacKay, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. Sitting on the chairs behind him on the stage are: Left to right- W.A. Duffy Atkin, the Governor's aide, Mrs. MacKay, Mrs. Cathcart, Mrs. W.S. Atkin, Mrs. Dodge, Esli Dodge, and Bryan Cathcart. |
