Description |
Black and white photograph of William G. Connolly, warden of Lambton County in 1930. He appears standing, wearing a black robe and tricorn hat. A paper is glued to the top of the photo with "Warden, 1930" printed on it, and a description is printed on a paper on the bottom, which reads "WM. G. CONNOLLY / Born in the Township of Younge, County of Leeds, in the year 1880. Served in the 3rd C.M.R. in South Africa. Graduated from Toronto University with the degree of B.A. in 1905. Married Miss Kate Thompson in Watford in 1907. Spent 7 years in Japan in Educational work returning to Watford in 1913. Contested East Lambton riding (Provincial) in 1923. Has been a member of the Lambton County Council since 1923. |
