Description |
Negative of the Sarnia Canadian office. There are four workers in the room. In the room are printing machines at the left and right walls. One person works at each machine. On the back wall is a rack for hanging tools. To the right, a third person stands reading a newspaper. In the centre is an individual working at a work table. The machine to the right has a sign that reads, "Capacity 10 000 per hour". The negative is contained in an archival envelope with a label which reads, "Negatives from photographs/documents that appeared in Edward Phelps's 'Sarnia: Gateway to Bluewaterland'." written in type. In pencil is written, "Sarnia Canadian office (c. 1905 - forerunner to Observer)". |
