This is a greyscale photograph of James Johnston and Sarah Colhoun situated next to each other in a staged photography studio. James is on the left, sitting down in a decorative, cushioned chair. He is wearing an open coat over a formal vest and a collared shirt. He has a pocket watch chain hanging out of his vest pocket and is holding a small piece of paper in one hand. Sarah is standing on the right, hands clasped together. She is in a dark, floor length dress with a form fitting corset coat, a bowed necktie is seen poking out of the right side of coat lapel. They are both situated on a fluffy rug and in front of a painted backdrop of a curtained window. The back of the photograph has a large J.Leary & Co. logo on it. The logo is of a banner over a wheel, a horizontal pole stretching down behind the wheel, and flowers around the logo. |
