Black and white photo of a farming scene. Two teams of two horses, two men and a colt. The team on the right is pulling a set of discs that a man is sitting upon. A colt is standing next to the horses. The team on the left is dragging a length of wood and a man is walking behind holding onto the reins. Part of the field is worked and the sod is overturned. A fence and two barns can be seen in the background. |

Photo was taken by Jim Skinner on the Skinner farm, Lot 14, Concession 6, Dawn Township, Lambton County. The men working in th fields are his brothers, George and Jack. The little girls in some of the pictures are his nieces, Helen and Jean McAlpine. Jim took the photos with the camera that was given to him by Dawn Telephone Company. He probably audited their books. He developed the photos himself. |
