Two men are lying at the front, leaning on their elbows, two men are seated behind them, and one man is kneeling at the back in the centre. From top and moving clockwise, the men are identified as George French, Jack Bailey, George English, George Tanton, and Charlie McArthur. All five men are wearing dark three piece suits and have moustaches. Mr. French is wearing his jacket closed at the top button. He is resting an elbow on Mr. Bailey's shoulder. Mr. Bailey is seated with his arms crossed. His coat is closed and he is wearing a white detachable collar. Mr. English is wearing his jacket closed at the top button, and he is holding a riding crop. Mr. Tanton is wearing a closed peacoat and is holding a newspaper. Mr. McArthur is wearing his jacket open and is seated on a log. There are three dark bowler hats strewn on the ground in front of the man.
