Summary |
Part a: Brown leather hardcover Bible. On inside of both front and back cover is yellow paper. Visible around the edges of this paper is a flowing gold design impressed into the brown leather. The first page of this Bible, is dedicated "to The Most High and Mighty Prince James, by the Grace of God." Within the book are yellowed pages, bearing black text. The name of each book is printed at the top of each page and small notes are typed in the margins. Part b: White bookmark with purple design at top. Text (purple) on bookmark reads: "In All Thy Ways Acknowledge Him and He Shall Direct Thy Paths Prov.-3-3...." Underneath this is a horizontal design (also in purple). Below this is "Best Wishes for XMas and the New Year A.S. Brooks Grand Master G.B.C. of Ont. W. 1953." |

Part a: Brown leather hardcover Bible. Impressed into the front cover, is a rectangle shaped by a line of dots, and then three thin lines, with a small motif in each corner. Impressed inside this rectangle is, "Presented to Loyal Orange Lodge No.1151 Oil Springs, Enniskillen Co. Lambton C.W. 13th July 1863, by Miss Annie I. Brown and Miss Harriet C. Brown." On the spine are five raised lines. Between the first and second lines (from the top) is "Holy Bible" in gold. Part a Dimensions: Depth: 8cm, Width: 25.7cm, Length: 32.4cm Part b: White bookmark with scalloped edging on top and bottom. At the top is a purple design of a crown with a cross going through it. Below this is purple text, broken up by a horizontal purple design. The fabric is smooth and shiny. Part b Dimensions: Width: 5cm, Length: 18.3cm |
