The Chronicle newspaper dated Oct. 1, 1891. Weekly newspaper from Oil Springs, Lambton County, printed on both sides. Tag line printed under the title is: "And the rock poured me out rivers of oil"-Job. It is said, this passage from the Bible was quoted by Mr. Shaw when he hit the first oil gusher. The newspaper was established Feb. 19, 1862 by J.S. Gadd. This is Volume VI, number 38. The cost was $1.25 per year. Hand-written name at the top right corner- C.A. Sauvey
